Welcome to Be Rich 2015. Be Rich is the annual giving and serving campaign of North Point Ministries, the organization led by Andy Stanley. Every year, the Your Move audience is invited to participate in unleashing a wave of generosity in our communities and around the world.

No matter what you might believe about Christianity, everybody is concerned with helping children and serving those in need. During this campaign, we ask people to give, serve, and love by being rich toward others. Our motivation comes from 1 Timothy 6:18: "Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share."

In 2014, $4,306,276 was given through Be Rich.

YOUR MOVE IMPACT

Heart for Africa

Swaziland

Heart for Africa delivers quality shelter, food, water, clothing, health care, and education to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Swaziland. Be Rich has funded the construction of 16 staff housing units, a common outdoor cooking facility, and bathroom facilities for the farmland from which food provisions come. Funds also purchased a 1/4 hectare greenhouse that will grow crops hydroponically through a controlled environment.

Habitat for Humanity

Denver, CO

Habitat's Critical Home Repair (CHR) program helps with home restoration so that homeowners can continue to live in safe and affordable homes. Through Be Rich, two homes received critical exterior repairs such as new shingles, soffit and fascia replacement, new siding or paint work, porch repairs, and more.

Raleigh, NC

In support of Habitat's community engagement program, Be Rich helped fund training, consultations, and technical assistance as Habitat partners with working families to shape community improvement plans for the neighborhoods in which they live.

Nashville, TN

To assist Habitat in providing opportunities for working families to purchase quality, affordable homes, Be Rich covered a year's worth of curriculum costs for its client education program. Be Rich also purchased one lot of land for a future build.

Boston, MA

Habitat was in need of funding for a part-time staff position to serve more local families in need. Specifically, this position is responsible for all of the organization's family service matters, including family selection, family education and support, resource coordination, support and credit counseling. Be Rich made it possible to hire for this position. Habitat is now making a greater impact due to increased oversight and continuous improvement.

Phoenix, AZ

With help from Be Rich, Habitat succeeded in its first neighborhood revitalization effort benefiting the Canyon Corridor neighborhood—a low-income community with homes dating back to the 1950s in need of repairs. Habitat worked with local residents and schools to complete home repairs, including new windows, roofs, landscaping, fences, siding, exterior, etc.

Grand Rapids, MI

Habitat works with Vet-Hats, a mentorship and service program seeking to offer "life coaching" advice to veterans, as well as providing them stress-reducing opportunities to work together in serving their local community. Be Rich covered the necessary funding so that teams of vets could accomplish their goal of building affordable housing for families in need.

St. Louis, MO

In an effort to restore economic diversity to an inner city neighborhood, Be Rich funded Habitat's desire to purchase four lots in south St. Louis. By creating affordable housing through the building or rehabbing of homes on these lots, children from lower to middle-income families will benefit from an education at a thriving local charter school.

Atlanta, GA

With funding assistance from Be Rich, Habitat invested in the expansion of finance programs, and also increased the availability of financial education resources that provide homeowners with the tools they need to manage personal finances.
